Dominique Pétrin was recently interviewed by La Fabrique Culturelle about her work in AXENÉ07’s exhibition at La Fonderie entitled Endless Landscape: The Canadian Landscape Reimagined by 12 Major Artists. For this exhibition, AXENÉ07 brought together a dozen emerging contemporary artists to reflect on Canada 150th anniversary through large in situ installation pieces.

Dominique Pétrin’s installation, UFO Canada, imagines a scene wherein 150 aliens come to colonize Canada only to encounter its mesmerizing contemporary consumer culture. Pétrin discusses both her overall practice as well as her work placing detailed ornamentations against Tim Hortons to-go cups for UFO Canada in her July 13 interview for La Fabrique Culturelle.
