SANS TITRE (1987 – 1989) by Dominique Blain is featured in the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal’s current exhibition Terre des femmes (Women and Her World).

Woman and Her World sets up a dialogue between two powerful works by two Québec artists, Dominique Blain and Sylvia Safdie, thoughts on spirituality, power, diversity and togetherness. In spirit of the city’s celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Expo 67 this year, a fair that revolved around the theme Terre des Hommes (Man and His World), comes here a unique reflection on one of its central works, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s magnificent Terre des hommes (Wind, Sand and Stars) [1939], and the central principles underlying its declared universal humanism.

This exhibition is part of the museum’s series, Pictures for an Exhibition, an evolving cycle of exhibitions based on works from the MAC collection intended to generate new connections between historical works and recent acquisitions, between the different media and artists of various generations.
